In late July, a group of Mannatech employees traveled to Ecuador to visit several Hope Zones with Kids Around the World and dedicate a beautiful playground for the local community.
The company’s humanitarian effort, Mission 5 Million Foundation (M5M), took part in Kids Around the World’s newest program, Generations Hope, thanks to funding from Mannatech. In just nine months, they’ve fed 800 Ecuadorian youngsters using Mannatech’s unique Phytoblend meal packet.
“A one-month supply of PhytoBlendTM powder is provided for every $100 bought on Mannatech products to help nourish a child in need,” stated Al Bala, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mannatech. “Through our relationship with Kids Around the World, we can make use of OneMeal, a mobile food-packing initiative that collaborates with volunteer groups to prepare meals for needy children. The OneMeal meal composition contains our PhytoBlend as a source of vitamins and minerals in every meal.”
Since 2009, the Mission 5 Million Foundation has provided over 122 million meals of nutritional support to malnourished children. Each year, the firm aims to provide more than 20 million nutritional assistance meals to malnourished youngsters.
