Nature’s Sunshine Establishes A Scholarship To Aid A Diverse Group Of Students

Nature’s Sunshine, in collaboration with the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business, has established a new scholarship fund to help diverse students as they pursue their education.

Nature’s Sunshine will work with the Opportunity Scholars program to provide full-ride scholarships for disadvantaged students who would be first-generation college graduates, thanks to a $200,000 contribution over four years. Nature’s Sunshine scholars will have access to mentors, tutors, academic guidance, and networking opportunities due to this cooperation.

Nature’s Sunshine CEO Terrence Moorehead stated, “As a pioneer in health and wellness, we’re devoted to helping individuals fulfill their potential.” “It was a logical offshoot of that purpose to support individuals’ attempts to improve their lives via education, particularly in underprivileged places. We’re delighted to collaborate with the University of Utah to help create a more inclusive community and motivate others to make a difference through their own successes and achievements.”

The Stronger Together series, which focuses on generating dialogues about diversity, equality, and inclusiveness, as well as the company’s initiatives to actively support and promote employees from varied backgrounds, inspired this scholarship initiative.

Taylor Randall, Dean of the David Eccles School of Business, remarked, “We here at the Eccles School are staunch believers in the transforming potential of education.” “This excellent cooperation with Nature’s Sunshine will enable us to award many scholarships to a varied group of first-generation students, but the impact will undoubtedly be seen well beyond their lifetimes. Their education will help their families, communities, and the corporate world for years to come.”

The Eccles School will administer the Nature’s Sunshine Scholarship, which will be granted starting in the 2021-2022 academic year.
The program’s funding has been committed until the 2024-2025 school year.
